The matrix demos

As part of PrintHouston’s 2026 Biennial, Red Bird Press will host a series of printmaking demonstrations on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8 pm, for 4 consecutive weeks.

PrintHouston is pleased to announce PrintHouston 2026, the tenth city-wide celebration of original prints, the artists who create them and the people who collect them!

We will kick-off the celebration with keynote speakers, Ayn Greinstein and Joni Weyl Felsen, owners of Gemini G.E.L., Friday, May 30th at Glassell School of Art Favrot Auditorium.

On Saturday, May 31st in the MFAH, Kinder Building, Dr. Dena M. Woodall, curator, prints and drawings at MFAH, along with Ayn Greinstein and Joni Weyl Felsen, will discuss the Gemini G.E.L. exhibit dedicated Prints and Drawings Gallery. A lecture/demo on printmaking will take place afterwards in the Print Studio at The Glassell School of Art.

  • Nope! These demonstrations will only be done by the instructor. It may be helpful for you to bring something to take notes with. Additionally, feel free to bring any food or drink you’d like to enjoy!
