Becoming a member at Red Bird Press directly supports our organization’s mission to provide rare, antique printmaking and book arts equipment to the Greater Houston community.

Memberships

Supporter Memberships are for those who want to sustain our printmaking programs while staying connected to the studio community. Members enjoy access to classes, early ticket access to visiting artist events, print demonstrations, and select studio programming. This membership is a way to support our organization while participating in the life of the studio. All Key-Holder Members are also required to hold a Supporter Membership.

Key-Holder Memberships

Key-Holder Memberships are designed for experienced, trained artists who want full, independent access to our studio facilities. Members enjoy access to the studio from 7am to midnight, offering flexibility to work on their own schedule and move between projects with ease. This membership supports skilled printmakers and book artists who value autonomy as well as connection to a community of peers.

Studio Monitor Memberships are a reduced-cost membership option for artists who want to be more deeply involved in the Red Bird Press community while supporting the day-to-day operations of the studio. This program is designed as an exchange of access and participation rather than employment, and is best suited for artists who are excited to spend regular time in the space, build relationships within the community, and contribute to the care and upkeep of the studio. A limited number of Studio Monitor Memberships are available and are filled through an application process reviewed on a rolling basis.

Your Questions, Answered

  • All memberships include 15% off workshops and courses, 15% off print sales and select Red Bird merchandise, and priority access to special events, programs, and markets. After signing up, you will need to create an account to access special pages and information here, on our website.

    Key-Holder Members are also required to hold a Supporter Membership. Supporter Members are not required to be Key-Holder Members.

    In addition to Supporter Membership benefits, Key-Holder Members receive full studio access from 7am to midnight, offering flexible, independent access to work in the space.

  • Supporter Members may upgrade, change, or cancel their membership at any time.

    Key-Holder Members are enrolled in term-based agreements and may upgrade or cancel their membership at the end of the contracted term.

    For non-monthly memberships, one month of use may be deferred to a later time when needed.

    We understand that circumstances can change and are happy to work with members in the case of emergency or extenuating life events.

  • Yes! We regularly add new courses, workshops, and events throughout the year. Workshops are available for sign-up on Eventbrite, and courses are posted on our Courses page as they are scheduled.

    To stay up to date, follow us on Instagram and subscribe to our email newsletter for the latest announcements and opportunities.

  • Supporter Members receive access to a Member Homepage through our website, where discount codes are available for use during online registration and purchases.

    For in-person shop purchases, simply let us know your name and that you are a member at checkout, and we will apply your discount.
