Red Bird Press is a community-driven, artist-run facility dedicated to preserving and sustaining the crafts of Printmaking and Book Arts. With the shared belief that print isn’t dead, we are focused on enhancing the democratic quality of printmaking by creating inventive and strategic programs that invite interest and/or bring people into the studio, either through paid workshops, extended educational courses, or community outreach. Our vision is to create a community-centric space for artistic expression, education, and collaboration, allowing the historic craft of analog communication to continue to inspire people and keep antique equipment in use.

in-depth courses
Our courses are designed to offer longer-term, in-depth educational experiences in Printmaking and Book Arts subjects. Lasting over the course of 4-6 weeks, students will gain a broader understanding of technique and process that couldn’t otherwise be learned in a short-term workshop. Red Bird Nest for Book Arts and Print is our partner 501(c)(3) charitable organization that operates to expand access to printmaking & book arts facilities and education. Through scholarships, subsidized workshops, and community programming, Red Bird Nest aims to remove barriers to participation and support artists at all stages of their practice. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.

We offer a variety of products for sale in our shop, such as cards, stickers, art prints, apparel, and more. All of our printed stationery is made in-house and by-hand with our antique printing presses, and all of our apparel is screen-printed by our team.
